About the Blue Leg Hermit Crab
Native to the Caribbean and Western Atlantic, Clibanarius tricolor is easily identified by its striking blue legs adorned with red banding. As a dwarf hermit crab, it rarely exceeds three centimetres in size, making it a perfect addition to nano aquariums and large reef systems alike. They spend their days tirelessly scouring live rock and substrate for detritus, film algae, and cyanobacteria, earning them a permanent place in the marine hobbyist's cleanup crew.
