About the Blue Linckia Starfish
With its striking cobalt blue colouration, the Blue Linckia Starfish (Linckia laevigata) is one of the most recognizable and desired invertebrates in the marine aquarium hobby. Despite its beauty, it is notoriously challenging to keep alive long-term. This species is entirely reliant on the microscopic life found on mature live rock and cannot easily be target-fed. Consequently, they are recommended only for advanced aquarists with large, well-established reef systems.
