About the Blue Phantom Pleco L128

The Blue Phantom Pleco, widely known in the hobby as L128, is a spectacular suckermouth catfish originating from the fast-flowing rapids of the Orinoco River in Venezuela. Closely related to the Green Phantom Pleco (L200), this species is highly sought after for its vivid dark blue base colour adorned with lighter blue or white spots. Growing to around 20 cm, it makes a magnificent, albeit somewhat secretive, centrepiece for larger riverine setups.
