About the Canary Fang Blenny
The Canary Fang Blenny is a brilliant yellow, active marine fish that adds a fantastic splash of colour to any reef aquarium. Unlike many blennies that stubbornly perch on rocks or graze on algae, this species is a free-swimming mid-water fish with a fully functional swim bladder. It belongs to the genus Meiacanthus, famously known as fang blennies because they possess venomous canine teeth. Far from being dangerous to their tankmates, they use this feature purely as a deterrent against larger predators.
