About the False Julii Cory
Frequently mislabelled in the aquarium trade as the 'Julii Cory', *Corydoras trilineatus* is in fact a distinct species, easily separated by the reticulated, maze-like pattern on its head (as opposed to the distinct, individual spots of the true *C. julii*). This delightful armoured catfish is an undisputed staple of the freshwater hobby. Prized for their ceaseless foraging and peaceful disposition, they bring life and movement to the lower levels of any soft-water community aquarium.
