What is the difference between Glowlight, Lambchop, and Harlequin Rasboras?

The Glowlight Rasbora (T. hengeli) is the smallest of the three, sporting a very faint, thin black mark and a luminous orange stripe above it. The Lambchop (T. espei) has a bronze/copper body with a distinct 'lambchop' shaped black mark. The Harlequin (T. heteromorpha) is the largest and deepest-bodied, featuring a large, dark blue-black triangle that covers most of its rear half.

Do Glowlight Rasboras need a blackwater tank?

While they do not strictly require a heavy tannin-stained blackwater tank, they do appreciate soft, slightly acidic water. The addition of botanicals like catappa leaves or a densely planted environment will significantly reduce their stress and enhance their vibrant orange stripe.

Will Glowlight Rasboras eat my baby shrimp?

They are generally very safe with adult dwarf shrimp like Cherry Shrimp. However, like almost all fish, if a newborn shrimplet fits into their mouth and they spot it mid-water, they may eat it. Dense mosses will ensure plenty of shrimp survive.
