About the Rainbow Trout

The Rainbow Trout is one of the world's most recognisable freshwater fish, widely kept in commercial fisheries, large private estates, and aquaculture. Renowned for its torpedo-like shape and the striking iridescent pink-to-red stripe running along its flanks, it is a powerhouse of a swimmer. While technically anadromous populations exist (known as Steelhead), the standard Rainbow Trout is thoroughly adapted to fully freshwater lakes and ponds, provided the water remains exceptionally clean and cool.
