Why are my Tiger Barbs constantly chasing each other?

This is completely normal behaviour. Tiger Barbs are hierarchical fish that constantly spar to establish and maintain a pecking order. As long as no single fish is being severely bullied or injured, this internal chasing is a sign of a healthy, active shoal.

Why do my Tiger Barbs sit with their heads pointing downwards?

Tiger Barbs frequently adopt a head-down, 45-degree angle posture when they are resting or sleeping in the water column. Provided they are not gasping heavily or struggling to swim upright when disturbed, this is a completely natural quirk of the species.
